Director Subhash Ghai, who has worked with Sridevi in karma, is extremely glad to make a documentary on Sridevi’s life.
In 1997, Sridevi married Boney Kapoor, a producer on many of her films, and left Indian cinema at peak of her career for many years to raise her two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi.
Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor, the husband of late Sridevi, is likely to make a documentary on the life of his wife and legendary Bollywood actress.
The sources said, the film will be directed by his friend Subhash Ghai. There was also buzz that the Shekhar Kapur will helm the project.
“It should be made. The documentary on the institutional body of work of an actor, a director or a producer is a must because the newer generations can learn from that. It must be very educational for the younger generation and I am very happy that it’s being made,” says Subhash.
Adding to this, Ghai said, “Sridevi’s work must be mentioned in textbooks,” post her demise.
‘Despite a life spent entirely in the movie business, Sridevi was quiet and shy on film sets until she faced the camera. She transforms into the character she plays,’ says her colleagues.
Sridevi, 54, died of accidental drowning in the bathtub of a Dubai hotel on February 24 where she was attending her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding.
