Waiting for iOS 11, are you? So are we and we have got news for you. Apple’s next operating system is supposed to roll out later this year and as far as we have heard the OS will be bringing features like a dark mode and upgraded Siri, basically things that Apple fans have been clamoring for long. If anything, we should wait for the iOS 11 beta that’ll surely indicate a bit on whether the speculations are true or are they just rumors and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
We are all pretty eager for the iOS 11 to roll out, the likely date of which is September 2017. Apple, we know to hold a September event each year where the company launches some its most awaited products like the iPhone and Apple Watches. This year will mark the 10th anniversary for Apple iPhone, and reports are indicating that the company is planning to do something special and that it could either be iPhone 7S or iPhone 8 but whatever it is it’ll supposedly be a game changer.
On the compatibility front, we are hoping the iOS 11 will be compatible to all that the iOS 10 is compatible to. Here are the lists of likely device that will turn out to be compatible with the upcoming Apple operating system.
The devices that we are talking about here are:
iPad 4, iPad Air 1, iPad Pro 12.9-inch, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPhone SE, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, along with iPhone 7S or iPhone 8 (whatever comes out this year); also sixth generation iPod touch.
The first iOS was launched along with the first iPhone back in the year 2007 as the operating system of the iPhone. It was developed exclusively for Apple hardware, and later its usage was expanded up to iPad and iPod Touch. The iOS is, of course, the second most popular operating system following Android in the entire world. And also it is the second most popular for tablets following Android close at heels.
Apple’s own Apple Store bears the mark of the global usage of the operating system. The App Store contains over 2.2 million iOS applications and out of these 1 million are native apps for iPads. Besides till this day, the apps from the Apple Store had been downloaded for over 130 million times which is a huge number, to say the least.
Now speaking of the new features that we are likely to come is the dark mode. The night mode is something that we and Apple fans had been waiting and waiting for the longest of time. The mode is especially helpful in at night. To recall the iOS 10 beta version did bring the night mode on board making fans ecstatic and believing that Apple will finally bring the mode to the OS. But the final product did not have the dark mode, and now news is that the iOS 11 will be coming with a night mode. We have our fingers crossed. All we need to do now is wait until September.
